What a website costs in India in 2026

Website costs in India in 2026 by type, city and builder: business sites, ecommerce, web apps and apps, what is never included, and the cost of a cheap site.

A business website in India costs between Rs 20,000 and Rs 2,00,000 in 2026 for most small and mid-sized companies. Starter templates are sold from Rs 3,500. Ecommerce stores start around Rs 50,000 and run past Rs 8 lakh. Custom web applications and CRMs start near Rs 4 lakh. The number depends on the type of site, who builds it and where, and what the quote leaves out. Ryzenforge publishes its prices, so ours sit next to the ranges below.

Cost by type

TypeRange, 2026Ryzenforge
Starter template, 1 to 5 pagesRs 3,500 to 15,000not offered
Business website, 5 to 15 pagesRs 20,000 to 2,00,000from Rs 35,000
Ecommerce storeRs 50,000 to 8,00,000from Rs 1,20,000
Custom web application or CRMRs 4,00,000 and upon quote
Mobile appRs 2,00,000 to 15,00,000on quote
Landing pageRs 15,000 to 40,000on quote

The ranges are wide because the word "website" covers everything from a five-page brochure to a store with four hundred products and a payment gateway. Read the rows as different products, not as cheap and expensive versions of the same thing.

A starter template is a design somebody else made, with your name and photos dropped in. It is the right answer for a side business that needs an address on the internet and nothing more. It is the wrong answer for a business that wants enquiries, because the template was not built around your enquiry.

A business website is five to fifteen pages built around one job: the call, the WhatsApp message, the booking or the quote request. The price covers design, the pages written with you, forms and WhatsApp wired to your number, and the Google setup on launch. At Ryzenforge the two sizes are a Launch Site, 5 to 7 pages from Rs 35,000 in two weeks, and a Growth Site, 10 to 15 pages with service and city pages, case studies, FAQ and schema, lead routing to WhatsApp and a CRM, and three months of care, from Rs 90,000 in four weeks.

An ecommerce store adds the catalogue, the cart, payments, delivery, billing and stock, and an admin panel the owner can use. A Ryzenforge store is from Rs 1,20,000 and takes four to six weeks, built on the platform behind Quppayam, which has processed 75,000+ orders. Payment gateway integration is an Rs 8,000 add-on, and the gateway's own fees are external.

A custom web application or CRM is scoped per project because no two are alike. Ryzenforge quotes a custom CRM at setup from Rs 60,000, then Rs 3,000 to 6,000 a month hosted and supported, with RyzenOS as the base; other web applications are on quote, six weeks and up.

Cost by who builds it

Freelancers charge Rs 10,000 to 40,000 for a business site. They are the fastest and cheapest option, and everything depends on one person: their availability, their health, their next job. If they move on, so does your site's maintenance.

Small agencies charge Rs 25,000 to 1,20,000. You get a team, a process and, if you are lucky, published prices. This is where Ryzenforge sits.

Larger agencies charge Rs 80,000 to 3,50,000 and above. Process and account managers are included in the price, which is fine if you need them and expensive if you do not.

DIY and AI builders cost Rs 0 to 2,500 a month. The site is yours to maintain, hard to rank, and short of integrations: WhatsApp ordering, a CRM or a payment gateway that works the Indian way are rarely a tick box.

Cost by city

Kerala, Coimbatore and tier-2 cities sit at the lower half of the ranges. Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad agencies quote 30 to 100 percent more for the same scope, and many of them deliver from teams in smaller cities. Location changes the price more than the quality. A business in Mumbai can have its site built by a team in India at India prices on a video call, which is how Ryzenforge works with clients across India and in the US.

What changes the price

  • Pages and content. Each page is written, designed and built; a site with fifteen pages costs more than one with five, and content you write yourself still has to be edited and loaded.
  • Custom design versus a template. A design built around your business takes longer than a theme and shows it.
  • Features. Booking, payments, a multilingual site, integrations with WhatsApp, a CRM or accounting tools. Each is a piece of work, and each should be a line in the quote.
  • Speed and search setup. A site that loads in under three seconds on a phone and ships with Search Console, a sitemap, titles and schema costs more to build than one that does not, and it is the difference between a site that ranks and one that does not.
  • The care plan after launch: updates, backups, uptime and speed checks and small changes each month.

What is never included

Domain, hosting, SSL, paid plugins and APIs, WhatsApp API charges, payment gateway fees and stock photos are never in the build price, from anybody. A quote that hides these is incomplete, not cheaper. Ryzenforge lists every external cost on the proposal and sets each one up in the client's name, so the domain and the hosting account are yours from day one.

The cost of doing nothing

Only 13 percent of Indian MSMEs use digital marketing; among those that do, nearly 60 percent report double-digit growth and 78 percent lower customer acquisition costs (Google, India SME Forum and Deloitte, 2026). A website that brings two enquiries a month pays for itself inside a quarter. The expensive website is the one that was never built, or the one that was built and brings nothing because nobody set up Google or wired the WhatsApp button.

Maintenance and timelines

Budget Rs 2,500 to 10,000 a month for a business site on a care plan; stores more. Ryzenforge care plans are Rs 2,500 to 6,000 a month, Store Manager is Rs 5,000 a month, and support outside a plan is Rs 800 an hour.

Timelines: two to four weeks for a business site, four to six for a store, six weeks and up for custom. The clock starts when the content is ready, which is why Ryzenforge writes the pages with you rather than waiting for them.

Timelines by type

TypeTimeWhat sets the clock
Launch Site2 weekscontent ready at the start
Growth Site4 weeksservice and city pages written with you
Store4 to 6 weekscatalogue loaded, payments and delivery set up
Custom CRM or web application6 weeks and upthe first phase scoped on a call, then phases
Automation pilotlive in 10 daysone agent or workflow, watched for 30 days

Timelines slip for one reason more than any other: content. Photographs that are not taken, prices that are not decided, pages that nobody has written. A fixed scope and a one-page brief at the start are what keep a two-week site at two weeks.

Website, store or application: which one you need

If the business sells a service and the customer's next step is a call or a message, you need a business website. If the customer's next step is to pay and have something delivered, you need a store, and WhatsApp ordering alone is a reasonable first step before a full cart and gateway. If the thing you are missing is not a page at all but a system, leads that get lost, invoices typed twice, a team working from three spreadsheets, you need a CRM or a custom application, and the website is the smaller part of the job. The mistake that costs the most is buying a store for a business that needs a brochure, or a brochure for a business that needs a system.

The seven steps, whoever builds it

A good build runs the same way at any price. Approval and scope: a short call and a one-page scope, with a part payment to start. Domain and hosting: in your name, set up by the builder, listed as external. Design: the homepage first, then the rest, with your first revision round. Build: pages, forms, WhatsApp, payments and the admin, with the content loaded. Testing and revisions: on real phones, with a fixed number of rounds. Payment and handover: the balance at launch, the source code and every account handed over. Care: monthly updates, backups and small changes, or a walkthrough and goodbye. If a quote cannot be mapped onto those seven steps, ask which one is missing.

How to read a quote

Ask for the page count, the list of features by name, the external costs as separate lines, who owns the source code and the accounts, and what happens after launch. A quote that answers all five in writing is comparable with another; a single number is not. Ryzenforge's answers are on the Kerala web design page and in the full price table.

What Ryzenforge charges

Can I get a website for Rs 5,000?

A template, yes. A business site that brings enquiries, no. The template still needs domain, hosting, content, WhatsApp and Google setup, and those are where the enquiries come from.

What is the cost of a website per month?

Hosting and domain Rs 300 to 1,500 a month; a care plan Rs 2,500 to 10,000. Ryzenforge care plans are Rs 2,500 to 6,000 a month.
