A small business website costs $500 to $5,000 from a freelancer, $5,000 to $15,000 from a US agency, $15,000 to $60,000 for ecommerce or custom features, or $0 to $30 a month on a builder you maintain yourself (Levitate 2026, WebFX, WebsiteSetup). Ryzenforge, a US company with its team in India, builds full business sites from $1,500, and publishes every price, so ours sit beside the market ranges below.
Cost by who builds it
| Builder | Range, 2026 | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Do it yourself on a builder | $0 to $30 a month | A template you maintain; limited integrations; hard to rank |
| Freelancer | $500 to $5,000 | One person, fast and cheap, with one person's availability |
| US agency | $5,000 to $15,000 | A team and a process; account management in the price |
| Ecommerce or custom features | $15,000 to $60,000 | Stores, booking, portals, integrations |
| Ryzenforge | $1,500 to $4,000 | A team in India, invoiced by a US company, published prices |
The spread is not a quality scale. A freelancer can build a better site than an agency and an agency can build a worse one than a builder template. The price mostly reflects where the people are, how many of them touch the project, and how much of the fee goes to management rather than making.
Cost by type
A Launch Site at Ryzenforge is $1,500: 5 to 7 pages, copy written with you, forms and messaging, Google setup, three revision rounds, three weeks. A Growth Site is $3,500: 10 to 15 pages with service and city pages, case studies, FAQ and schema, lead routing to your CRM, and three months of care. A Store is $4,000: catalogue, ordering, payments, delivery, billing and stock, on the platform that has processed 75,000+ orders for one of our clients. A custom CRM is $2,000 setup, then $99 to $199 a month hosted and supported, with RyzenOS as the base, two weeks to go live. Custom web applications and mobile apps are on quote.
For the same scopes a US agency quotes $5,000 to $15,000 for the business site and $15,000 to $60,000 for the store. The difference is the location of the team, not the scope: the India team builds the same pages, with the same tracking, and the calls happen in your time zone.
Monthly costs
Hosting is $70 a year on Ryzenforge's managed server, or whatever your own host charges. The domain renews each year. A care plan in the US market runs $50 to $1,000 a month depending on who provides it and what it covers; Ryzenforge care plans are $150 to $400 a month for updates, backups, uptime and speed checks and small changes. Local SEO, if you want to rank beyond your own name, is $500 to $1,200 a month with a monthly report. A 30-day AI automation pilot is $750, then $300 to $800 a month.
What is never included
Domain, hosting, SSL, paid plugins and APIs, messaging platform charges, payment gateway fees and stock photos are never in the build price, from anybody. A quote that hides these is incomplete, not cheaper. Ryzenforge lists every external cost on the proposal and sets each one up in your name, so the domain and the hosting account are yours from the first day.
What a missing website costs
17 percent of US local businesses have no website (RapidWebLaunch 2026). For each of them, the customers who search, find a competitor and call the competitor are the cost, and it never appears on an invoice. A $1,500 site that brings one new customer a month has paid for itself before the year is out; the arithmetic for a service business with a four-figure average job is shorter still.
What changes the price
- Pages and content. Each page is written, designed and built; a site with fifteen pages costs more than one with five.
- Custom design versus a template. A design built around your business and your customer's question takes longer than a theme.
- Features by name: booking, payments, a portal, integrations with your CRM, SMS or messaging. Each is a line in the quote.
- Speed and search setup. Under three seconds on a phone, with Search Console, a sitemap, titles and schema on launch day.
- What happens after launch: a care plan, or a handover with the source code and a walkthrough.
How the work runs with a team in India
A 30-minute call in your time zone and a one-page scope, then 70 percent to start. Domain and hosting in your name. The homepage is designed first, you give your first revision round, then the rest of the pages are built with the content loaded. Testing on real phones, three revision rounds in total, 30 percent at launch, and the source code and every account handed over. Ryzenforge's US company in Sheridan, Wyoming, invoices in dollars by card or ACH. The team is in India, which is why a US-standard site costs a third of the local price.
Two US clients so far: AI Venture Catalyst, a professional services site rebuilt on React and Node.js, and Vibe and Vision Productions, audio visual and DJ services in Austin, Texas.
Cost by type, side by side
| Type | US market, 2026 | Ryzenforge |
|---|---|---|
| Launch Site, 5 to 7 pages | $500 to $5,000 freelance; $5,000 to $15,000 agency | $1,500 |
| Growth Site, 10 to 15 pages | $5,000 to $15,000 agency | $3,500 |
| Store | $15,000 to $60,000 | $4,000 |
| Custom CRM | custom quote | $2,000 setup, then $99 to $199 a month |
| Redesign | priced as a new build | $1,500 or $3,500 by scope |
| AI automation pilot | custom quote | $750, then $300 to $800 a month |
What a redesign costs
A redesign is priced as a Launch Site or a Growth Site by scope; there is no separate redesign price. It starts with an audit of the current site: what brings enquiries, what loses them, what Google sees. The pages that work stay, the rest are rebuilt, the rankings move safely with redirects, and the site launches with tracking. Three weeks from $1,500. The redesign page has the five signs it is time and the migration checklist.
Timelines
Three weeks for a Launch Site once content is ready, four weeks for a Growth Site, four to six for a store, two weeks for a RyzenOS-based CRM to go live, and ten days to a live automation pilot. The clock starts when the content exists, which is why the pages are written with you rather than waited for.
Builder, freelancer or agency: how to choose
Choose a builder if the site is an address on the internet and nothing more, and you are willing to maintain it. Choose a freelancer if you have one you trust and the site does not need to outlive their availability. Choose an agency if you need a process, a team and somebody answerable after launch. Choose a US company with an offshore team, which is what Ryzenforge is, if you want the agency's process at a freelancer's price, with the invoice from a US company and the calls in your hours. Whatever you choose, get the page count, the features by name, the external costs, the ownership of the code and the after-launch plan in writing.
How to read a quote
Ask for the page count, the features by name, the external costs as separate lines, who owns the source code and the accounts, and what happens after launch. A quote that answers all five in writing is comparable with another; a single number is not. Ryzenforge's answers are on the small business website design page, and a 30-minute call turns a price into a fixed number for your scope.
